Worker’s safety is a high priority which we at Vertigo take seriously, and our skilled workforce recognises the need to keep our skills and standards of equipment at the very highest of levels.
Each project requires Vertigo’s project managers to prepare clear, concise work method statements, JSA’s, Risk Assessments and safety audits. Work Health Safety (WHS) policies and safe working procedures are in accordance with current Australian Standards and Regulations.
Vertigo utilises the IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) International Guidelines and Requirements for all our rope access operations and the IRATA Training/Accreditation System for our operatives. This training involves intensive training in rope access, safe work and rescue/retrieval in a variety of situations and is followed by independent assessment.
All access equipment used by Vertigo is given a “thorough inspection” every 6 months (as well as inspection before each use) and each item of access equipment can be traced to an individual document. All slings and ropes are tagged and are logged after each use. No other rope access company in South Australia can match this level of safety.
Our workforce also holds ticketing in a variety of areas such as Rigging, Confined Space Entry, EWP and Traffic Management. See ‘Skills & Experience’ for more information.
